SPROUT & VINE HR AND GROWTH STRATEGIES

Privacy Policy

Effective Date: 09/2026   |   Last Updated: 09/2026

Our Commitment to You

At Sprout & Vine, we believe that when people are treated with care and respect, businesses grow. That belief extends to how we handle your information. Whether you are exploring our website, booking a consultation, or trusting us with your organization’s HR records, we treat your personal information the way we would want our own treated: carefully, transparently, and only for the purposes you would expect.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and protect it, who we share it with, and the choices available to you. It applies to our website at www.sproutandvinehr.com (the “Site”) and to the consulting services we provide to our clients.

1. Who We Are

Sprout & Vine HR and Growth Strategies (“Sprout & Vine,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is an HR consulting firm operated by Curious Sprout LLC, a California limited liability company based in Folsom, California. We provide human resources consulting and compliance services to small and mid-size California businesses.

2. Information We Collect

Information You Provide to Us

  • Contact and inquiry information – your name, email address, phone number, company name, and any message you send us through our Site or by email.

  • Scheduling information – when you book a consultation through Calendly, we receive your name, email address, phone number, appointment date and time, and any answers you provide to booking questions.

  • Payment information – when you pay at the time of booking, your payment is processed by Calendly’s integrated payment processor (such as Stripe or PayPal). We receive confirmation of payment and limited details such as your name and the amount paid. We do not receive or store your full credit card or bank account number.

  • Client engagement information – information you share with us during the course of a consulting engagement, described in Section 5 below.

Information Collected Automatically

When you visit our Site, certain information is collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies, including your IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, time spent on pages, referring website, and general location (city or region). This information is collected through our website platform, Wix, and through Google Analytics. See Section 6 for more detail and your choices.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use personal information only for legitimate business purposes, including to:

  • Respond to your inquiries and communicate with you about our services

  • Schedule, confirm, and manage consultations and appointments

  • Process payments and maintain accurate business and tax records

  • Deliver the HR consulting services our clients engage us to provide

  • Understand how visitors use our Site so we can improve it

  • Send occasional updates or resources, only where you have asked to receive them (you may unsubscribe at any time)

  • Maintain the security of our Site and systems, and comply with our legal obligations

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information only with trusted service providers who help us operate our business, and only to the extent needed for them to perform services on our behalf. These include:

  • Wix – website hosting and site analytics

  • Calendly – appointment scheduling

  • Stripe and/or PayPal (through Calendly) – payment processing

  • Google Workspace – email, secure document storage, and business productivity tools

  • Google Analytics – website traffic analysis

Each of these providers maintains its own privacy policy governing its handling of information. We may also disclose information when required by law, subpoena, or court order; to protect the rights, safety, or property of Sprout & Vine, our clients, or others; or in connection with a sale, merger, or reorganization of our business, in which case the successor will be bound by the commitments in this Policy.

5. Client and Employee Information

In the course of our consulting work, our clients may provide us with information about their employees, applicants, and former employees, such as names, contact details, job and compensation information, personnel records, leave records, and other HR documentation. We understand how sensitive this information is, and we hold ourselves to a high standard in protecting it.

  • We act on our client’s behalf. When we handle employee information for a client, we do so as that client’s service provider, and only to perform the services described in our written agreement with the client.

  • Confidentiality. Client and employee information is treated as confidential. Its use and protection are further governed by the confidentiality terms of our client service agreement, which control if there is any conflict with this Policy.

  • No secondary use. We do not sell client or employee information, and we do not use it for our own marketing or any purpose unrelated to the client engagement.

  • Secure transfer. We ask clients to share documents through our secure file-sharing method rather than standard email whenever sensitive information is involved.

  • When we use technology tools, including AI-assisted tools, we select settings that prevent client data from being used to train those tools, and we minimize or de-identify sensitive details wherever possible.

If you are an employee of one of our clients and have a question about your personal information, or wish to make a request to access, correct, or delete it, please contact your employer directly. Your employer controls that information, and we will assist them in responding to your request as required by law.

6. Cookies, Analytics, and Tracking

Cookies are small files placed on your device that help websites function and remember your preferences. Our Site uses:

  • Essential cookies set by Wix that are necessary for the Site to operate securely

  • Analytics cookies from Wix Analytics and Google Analytics that help us understand how visitors find and use our Site

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. You can also opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Disabling cookies may affect how some parts of the Site function.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” (DNT) setting. Because there is not yet a uniform standard for how to respond to DNT signals, our Site does not currently respond to them. We do honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as a request to opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information, although, as stated above, we do not sell or share personal information for advertising.

7. How Long We Keep Information

We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including to meet legal, tax, accounting, and record-keeping requirements. Website inquiry and scheduling information is generally retained for seven (7) years after our last contact with you. Client engagement records are retained according to the terms of our client service agreement and applicable California and federal record-retention laws. When information is no longer needed, we securely delete or de-identify it.

8. How We Protect Information

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. These include secure, access-controlled cloud storage, multi-factor authentication on business accounts, encrypted connections (HTTPS) on our Site, and limiting access to those who need it to do their work. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a data breach affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by California law.

9. Your Privacy Choices and California Rights

We respect your right to understand and control your personal information. Subject to applicable law, you may ask us to:

  • Know and access the personal information we have collected about you

  • Correct inaccurate personal information

  • Delete your personal information, subject to legal exceptions (for example, records we are required to keep)

  • Stop marketing communications at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us

To make a request, contact us using the information in Section 13. We will verify your identity before acting on a request, respond within 45 days, and will never treat you differently for exercising your privacy rights. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf with your written permission.

California “Shine the Light.” Under California Civil Code Section 1798.83, California residents may request information about disclosures of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. We do not share personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.

10. Children’s Privacy

Our Site and services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 16 through our Site. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

11. Links to Other Websites

Our Site may contain links to other websites, including resources from government agencies and third-party tools. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their privacy policies.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or in the law. When we do, we will post the updated Policy on this page and update the “Last Updated” date above. If we make material changes, we will provide additional notice where appropriate.
